Acceptable Use Policy

1. What this policy covers
This policy sets out the rules for using Give Time. It applies to all users — both volunteers and organisation administrators. By using Give Time, you agree to follow these rules.
2. You must not
- Upload content that is offensive, illegal, discriminatory, or threatening
- Upload content that infringes on anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users through any feature of the platform
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Attempt to access data belonging to other organisations or users
- Use the platform to send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited communications
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the security of the platform
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the platform without permission
- Share your login credentials with anyone else
3. Content you upload
If you upload content to Give Time (including videos, messages, or images in future features), you are responsible for ensuring that content is lawful, appropriate, and does not violate anyone's rights. We may remove content that violates this policy without notice.
4. What happens if you break these rules
If we believe you have violated this policy, we may:
- Issue a warning
- Temporarily suspend your account
- Permanently remove your account
- Report the matter to law enforcement if appropriate
We will always try to contact you before taking action, unless the violation is severe or poses an immediate risk to other users.
5. Reporting violations
If you see something on Give Time that you believe violates this policy, please let us know at hello@give-time.org. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
