Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and keep you signed in.
2. Cookies we use
We use only strictly necessary cookies. These are essential for the app to function and cannot be switched off.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Supabase authentication session — keeps you signed in | Session / 1 week |
3. Local storage
We also store small pieces of data in your browser's local storage:
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| give-time-install-nudge-dismissed | Remembers if you dismissed the install prompt |
| shifts-view | Your preferred view (list or calendar) on the shifts page |
4. What we don't use
We do not use any tracking cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tracking technology. Your activity on Give Time is not tracked or shared with anyone.
5. Do you need a cookie banner?
No. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements. Since we only use essential cookies, we don't need to show a cookie banner — but we believe in transparency, which is why this policy exists.
